Automation Developer (Python)

Position Description
CGI has an immediate need for an Automation Developer (Python) to join our financial services team in one of our selected CGI locations. Due to the current COVID-19 status, candidates will not be required to work within the physical work location at this time. When COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, they will be required to be located within the proximity of the assigned CGI location.

This project is about building automation bots that are being used in the information security area to handle incidents. The Automation Developer (Python) will be working with a highly motivated team that implements business processes and process automation on the information security area. The role will design and implement software robots utilizing SOAR platforms.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Analyze complexity and feasibility of automation for a given business process in the SOAR platform
• Attend backlog review meetings to understand list of processes and pain points
• Analyze current state in conjunction with Infosec analyst to determine opportunities for process improvement and automation
• Design target state incorporating and gain agreement with partners
• Participate in sprint planning discussions as needed
• Hold sprint completion demos to showcase finished product(s)
• Conduct training sessions for project team, business users and/or end-users

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 6 plus years of Python (Strong Experience)
• 2 plus years of API Integration
• 2 plus years of Automating Processes
• Strong Splunk experience

Desired qualifications
• Experience working in SOAR (security orchestration, automation and response) platforms is preferred
• Previous experience or familiarity with information Security Operations Center (SOC); Threat Detection and/or Incident Response would be a value but not required

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field required
