• Experience as a technical lead or manager for DevOps, SRE or Platform Engineering

• Technical leadership or management experience- reporting to senior management, technical escalations, contributing to strategy, mentoring juniors

Role: DevOps Manager (Team Lead Technical Site Reliability Engineer Engineering Manager Management Python DevOps Automation CI/CD Jenkins Groovy Agile AWS GCP Cloud Azure Docker Kubernetes Argo GitHub Actions Banking Finance Trading Front Office Financial Services) require by our trading software client in Manhattan, New York City. You will inherit a team of three that are dedicated to the CI/CD of a trading application. The team are working with Python, Jenkins and Groovy but will be looking to modernise and migrate, perhaps, to Argo CD and GitHub Actions. The application is on-premise and releases are quarterly but, over the next year, they want to migrate to AWS and a 'release on request' setup. Your role will be to manage the team but also be significantly hands-on (70%). In your first six months, you will assess the team and implement new processes and standards. You will collaborate with the engineering teams and central cloud team to begin to strategise and implement a new technical road map for new tooling and the shift towards AWS. This may mean extra hiring in the team.

Most of the team is remote. You can be largely remote, going into the office a couple of times a month, or, go into the office on a weekly basis.

Finance is not required so this is an excellent opportunity to enter the industry. You will need experience of leading or managing teams, including setting and implementing standards. You will also have experience contributing significantly towards, or leading, modernisation in CI/CD and release automation. Previous experience in cloud would also be desirable. You will have strong Python, Jenkins and Groovy. Ideally, you will have some AWS experience.

Salary: $220k - $260k + 25% Bonus + 401K
