The Role:
The Python Developer will responsible for the day to day development code and test-driven development code in Python. They Python Developer will be working with the data science team to complete application solution for MCBU, AES NOJV.

Client is seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer/Analyst to support the GUS MCBU (Global Upstream Mid Continental Business Unit) in Houston, TX. The Python Developer will responsible for the day to day development code and test-driven development code in Python. They Python Developer will be working with the data science team to complete application solution for MCBU, AES NOJV.

The position open due to an immediate backfill need. The position is slated for 6 months at this time.

* Requirements
o 7-10+ years of Strong application development experience
o 5+ years of strong Python development
o Degree in Computer Science and Mathematics
o Technology stack: Python, Azure, Databricks, NumPy, Anaconda, Tensorflow, Pandas
o Knowledge/experience developing in Agile methodology required
o SQL Server development experience required
o DevOps source control code experience required - GitHub
o Data Science domain exposure - very nice to have
o Experience working in project teams
o Strong communication- written and verbal
o Candidates local to Houston, TX area required

* Nice to have:
o Experience in developing in Cloud environment- MS Azure or AWS
o Preferred - oil and gas experience
o Nice to Have: .NET, C#, JavaScript experience

Education: Degree in Computer Science and Mathematics
