BCForward is currently seeking highly motivated Python Developer (Finance Background) in Tampa FL 33601

We place consultants for end clients all over USA.

Job Title: Python developer (Finance Background)

Location: Tampa FL 33601

Anticipated Duration: 9 Months Contract with possible extension or permanent depending on the performance of the candidate and client needs.

Python Developer

1. Masters in a quantitative field - prefer econometrics, statistics or computer science majors
2. 3-5 years of experience in coding in R, Python, C++ of Analytical models using Unix based tools
3. 2-5 experience with Hadoop and Big Data Analytics tools such as Hue, Hive, Anaconda Enterprise Notebook, Jupyter Notebook
4. 3-5 years of experience in developing Time Series Models and Value at Risk Models, and defending it with business and regulatory stakeholders
5. Knowledge of Regulations that pertain to forecasting and their implications to model development -
6. Prior experience working with Model Risk Management SR 11 requirements or ability to quickly ramp up
7. Document model approach, assumptions, results and automating report creation
