Description

A technology company in California has a great Remote opportunity awaiting a new Python Developer with their staff. In this role, the Python Developer (Remote) will be responsible for acting as first-level support and development for all incoming production software application issues dealing with merchandising applications. 

Responsibilities:

The Python Developer (Remote) will be responsible for:

  • Developing monitoring solutions, troubleshooting/debugging and implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, C/C++, JAVA)
  • Performing SQL queries, improving our systems that gather metrics on our features, updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges.
  • Working alongside development on Corporate and Divisional Software projects
  • Updating/enhancing current software and automation of support processes and documentation of systems
  • Building tools to improve internal processes using APIs
  • Mentoring or pairing with Engineers during technical decision making and implementation
  • Writing, reviewing, and maintaining code primarily in Python.
  • Handling customer facing interactions, as needed
  • Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Development experience
  • Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with Programming language (Python, Javascript, SQL, Visual basic)
  • Highly proficient in Python
  • Experience working on Agile processes (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience working on the AWS technologies 
  • Able to work with APIs (Salesforce, or other similar tools)
  • Experience in developing solutions in SmartSheets
  • Solid problem solving and time management skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention ot detail
  • Highly organized

Desired Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Shield
  • Experience with other Object-orientated languages
  • Solid Coding skills: Perl, C/C++ and/or Java
