Role: Python Developer

Location: Raleigh, NC

Cognizant is looking for a Python Developer in developing customized product for our clients. The role is expected to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies.

An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, collaborative environment.  Someone that values the “team” and leverages the opinions and expertise of their teammates to deliver quality.

Required skills: Python and algorithms, AWS, No SQL, and Distributed Systems

Job Summary:

Strong hands-on Python and AWS. Experience in Dynamo DB or No SQL DB. Additionally good to have experience in Algorithms and distributed systems, experience with architecting middleware services, designing and building web apps, web services, SOA (REST, spring boot), and API design Good debugging skills.

Mandatory skills: Python and algorithms, AWS, No SQL, and Distributed Systems

Basic Skills: SQL Server, My SQL

Code repository: VSTS, Version one Knowledge, Jenkins will be added advantage

Domain knowledge: Legal

Roles & Responsibilities:

Production experience with Python and database tuning Knowledge in Agile and Scrum process, AWS and/or Azure cloud knowledge, and test-driven development. Collaborate with key stakeholders to conceptualize new products and improve existing solutions. Prepare high-level sizing and application impact analysis for any new feature requests. Point of contact for any technical issues, questions, and challenges that may arise during the execution of a project.

Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, Good Analytical skills, Client handling skills, and ability to collaborate well with various stakeholders, Ability and attitude to learn new technologies.
