Job Description

We are seeking a Python Developer for a 6 month contract (with chances of extensions) in Englewood, CO. This role will be located onsite/in the office in Englewood, CO during normal business hours Monday-Friday (there are no remote options).

We are looking for a Python Web Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users using Restful APIs & web-services. We need a strong Python Developer responsible for coding, designing, deploying and debugging development projects, typically on the server-side (or back-end). At times, you might be asked to create an application for our customers, build tools as necessary to get the job done, integrable different systems or publish new services. Primary focus will be the development & automation of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. You will also be doing automation of certain workflows and error handling.

Day-to-day job responsibilities:

• Writing scalable, reusable, testable and efficient code using Python programming language.
• Coordinating with development teams to determine application requirements.
• Testing and debugging applications.
• Developing back-end components.
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability and performant applications
• Reprogramming existing databases to improve functionality.
• Developing digital tools to monitor online traffic.
• Writing scripts to automate certain workflows & implementing error handling framework

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Python developer.
• BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field
• Expert knowledge of Python and bash scripting with knowledge of at least one Python web framework such as Django, Flask, etc
• Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field
• Ability to collaborate on projects and work independently when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background of cloud infrastructure (AWS) and Kubernetes skills
• Experience with tools such as Rally, Logz, Dynatrace, Artifactory, Gitlab
• Fearlessness to learn and take on challenging problems
• Competency with modern programming languages and design principles
• Ability to read and write code in multiple languages

This 6 month contract (with the option to extend the contract for longer periods of time) will be located onsite/in the office in Englewood, CO during normal business hours Monday-Friday (there are no remote options).
