Python Developer (Python, AWS, Remote)

Optomi, in partnership with one of the largest electric power holding companies in the United States, is seeking a Python Developer for a remote position. The right candidate will be a highly skilled software engineer with a strong data engineering background along with back-end cloud native development. This candidate will also need to have 3+ years of experience with Python, AWS and SageMaker. The right candidate must be able to collaborate across Agile teams to design, develop and deploy data engineering solutions, as well as design data pipelines to meet business requirements for a SageMaker application.

Responsibilities of the right candidate:

• Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, deploy and support data engineering solutions including highly complex data models and data integration.
• Design and develop data pipelines to meet business and user requirements for a SageMaker application.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of data models and ETLs to meet user and business needs.
• Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
