Python Developer Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Python Developer for a contract to hire opportunity with a client in Center City Charlotte, NC. The client needs a developer with at least 5 years of python development experience (can give or take a couple years depending on types of projects they have supported). Need someone who can look at current stack and make recommendations- will be very hands on but also need to be able to help lead a initiative.

Team is responsible for ensuring accurate valuations and performing validation processes across all capital markets products, including but not limited to securities and derivatives. The project builds a new application and all the subsequent enhancements that will help meet stringent regulatory reporting timelines, and serve the needs of Financial controllers in price verification process. The application seeks to build best-in-class capabilities including robust data context and lineage, controls and audit trail, dynamic threshold capabilities using Machine Learning, facilitating independent price calculation for derivatives, as well as high level of automation to ensure reliability in workflow.

Length of Assignment: Contract-to-Hire (all candidates must be either Citizen, Green Card, H4, or NT Visa)

Job Description/Requirements:

• Building price verification application (ex: home appraisal- what you think something is worth vs what it actually is).

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate and maintain strong relationships with key business leaders to understand their strategy, align appropriate technology strategy, and collaborate to accomplish mission critical initiatives.
• Acts in the highest level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives.
• Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.
• Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing.
• Leads multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts.
• Ability to develop ad hoc data queries to analyze data and identify deficiencies during testing phase of the project is preferred.
• Knowledge of Product pricing for one or more cash products (Fixed Income, Commodities, Equity)
• Knowledge of Product pricing for one or more derivatives products (CDS, IRS, Volatility products)
• He/she will work closely with the end-users of the IPV Center of Excellence team throughout the implementation of the project.
• Maintain ongoing relationship and expectation with all the upstream data providers and downstream partners.
• Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process.
• Web Development: - Model template view architecture using frameworks such as Django - Web Services and REST APIs - RabbitMQ, Dask ETL
• ETL & processing large data sets using python
• File processing, normalization, Pandas DevOps
• Packaging and distributions using Conda, SetupTools
• UnitTest framework Front End
• AngularJS based front end (React or Node are fine too) Database
