Tools Software Engineer
Seeking an accomplished software engineer to serve as a Tools Software Engineer. In this role, you will build pipeline and reporting tools that enable power users to analyze and verify complex software and hardware systems. You will work with a team of domain experts to turn prototypes into internal software tools that are reliable, scalable, and maintainable. Your tools will help distill cutting edge approaches to software verification into understandable and actionable takeaways for its users. You will use a variety of testing methodologies to ensure the quality of your products meets the high standards expected by the team. We expect successful candidates to demonstrate an ability to solve problems efficiently, and to communicate about them effectively with a variety of audiences.
Strong computer science and mathematics fundamentals.
Excellent skills in Python 3 and web frameworks like Flask or Django.
Some familiarity with Python data pipelines (Pandas, NumPy, Parquet, S3).
Some familiarity with data visualization (Matplotlib, Gnuplot, etc.)
Experience with Linux / macOS development environments.
Experience with containerized web app deployments a plus.
A history of driving projects through the entire development lifecycle.
As a Tools Software Engineer, you will build software that our internal customers use to verify that a complex software and hardware system meets the necessary standards for safety and performance.
You will help build user-friendly, web-based tools to run complex, cutting-edge verification data pipelines against candidate software builds.
You will create web-based user interfaces to explore the results of verification runs and help users understand where the candidate software builds stand.
You will turn prototypes into robust and scalable solutions focusing on feature support, reliability and uptime, correctness of results, and turnaround times to support the different internal usecases and customers.
You will help restructure and/or re-architect the tools for extended capabilities, improved architecture, and better usability while maintaining full uptime and reliability for all users.
Education & Experience
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
