Join a dynamic cross functional team on the front lines of transformation across the Credit Risk domain. Credit Risk IT is in a multi-year journey of upgrading their technology stack, transforming their way of working and facilitating the streamlining and automation of critical business processes. We are looking for a strong Python developer with experience or aptitude to learn Big Data technologies to build and enhance our team's technical capabilities. The developer will be working across multiple technologies and will need to work together with a cross domain team to ensure delivery of critical business capabilities. This will mean sharing your technical expertise with teammates and being willing to learn and take up tasks with technologies that may not be your primary skill set.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• This is an individual contributor role working on technologies like Python, Flask and JupyterHub
• Analyze user requirements and design appropriate big data solutions that best fit those requirements
• Work in a cross functional Agile Scrum team to design, develop, test and maintain solutions
• Ensure that solutions are in line with department and domain architecture strategies and contribute to defining and improving those strategies
• Help build, maintain and continually implement tests for an automated testing framework that drives integration tests front to back across components
• Work collaboratively - sharing knowledge and helping teammates in your areas of expertise

Your Skills and Experience:

• Extensive proven experience with enterprise development primarily using Python and related technologies; to include well versed with Python Packages used for statistical calculations and Predictive Analytics on a Big Data environment
• Experience with Flask, Pandas, PyArrow, Dask and working knowledge of Jupyter Notebooks in a Multi-user environment. Implementation of Automation test suite for Python Kernels and working knowledge of PySpark API
• Familiarity with and/or demonstrated aptitude to learn Big Data technologies (Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Hive, Impala, Yarn)
• Understanding and experience designing and building REST microservices and hands on experience with all layers of the development stack, including unit and automated tests, to be able to collaboratively deliver front-to-back solutions
• Understanding of concurrency (multi-threading), distributed systems development and performance optimization; and experience with architectural design patterns, highly optimized, low latency and massively scalable platforms
• Understanding of CI/CD setup, ideally in a containerized deployment environment (Openshift, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Helm etc)
