Role Description:

Senior developer - Insight regulatory reporting team. An experienced software engineer to join a team of likeminded individuals delivering solutions for Regulatory reporting technology. This position will form part of a scrum team of engineers and business analysts, and as a senior role within the team is expected to provide technical leadership around design and software quality.

The primary technology used by the team is Python and leverages the banks proprietary Quartz platform and is backed with a broader technical stack including Oracle Exadata , Tableau, SQL server, Elastic Search, 60 East AMPS and Javascript.

The role will encompass designing, writing software and enhancing our automated testing capabilities, and providing technical mentoring to more junior members of the team. Being a Python/Quartz application, solid Python experience is highly advantageous though we may considered proven software engineers transitioning from other languages.

The ideal candidate will join a wider organization which spans the globe in locations including London, Bromley, Chicago, New York, India and Singapore - this role in based in Bromley.

The Team:

The Insight team is a globally distributed team with staff in London, Bromley Camberley, Singapore and Hyderabad, with co-located scrum teams in each location. This role is within the Bromley scrum team.

Core Skills:

Core

* Leadership of development teams through lifecycle of delivery
* Experience of enterprise design requirements preferably at Bank of America or similar large investment bank
* Experience as a Python developer, or similar development langauge
* Fluency in the Python language + Standard libraries, preferably quartz or similar (e.g. JPMs Athena platform)
* Knowledge of test-driven development/BDD
* Experience with RDBMS, Data Modelling

* Grid computing
* NoSQL/Document Oriented databases - Cassandra, MongoDB
* Highly Available/Scalable Search - Elasticsearch

Preferred

* Knowledge of BofA enterprise standards
* Knowledge of BofA application landscape
* Knowledge key regulations Mifid, EMIR, SFTR, CFTC
* Knowledge of data modelling including bank internal ( QzM, XA) and industry initiatives such as CDM
