Advanced Quantitative Cloud Analytics (ACQA) is the strategic risk and analytics platform at UBS. Built entirely on Microsoft Azure and running production workloads for several asset classes, ACQA is an established pillar of our technology strategy with ambitious plans today, with inclusive plans for today and in the years ahead. At its heart ACQA is Python, but we also use other languages including Java and Scala.

Your expertise

* deep experience developing in Python. You're an experienced python developer, you've used it at scale, you have a broad knowledge of the language and many of its commonly used packages. You believe in testing your code to destruction, using several different testing frameworks
* a deep software engineering background that fuels a passion for engineering best in class python systems to price trades, generate and process risk
* a strong understanding of financial derivative products, their risks, and how the front to back flow to process them works. Because our system will eventually price all asset classes, any derivatives background is welcome
* strong communication skills, written and spoken, you enjoy the challenge of communicating complex subjects concisely
* Python engineering experience, building large or complex systems. You're a Pythonista who loves the language and embraces its culture
* some exposure to cloud-based systems (ideally Microsoft Azure) is desirable, a desire to learn more is essential; some exposure to web-based UI frameworks would be useful, though not essential
* a passionate, kind & inclusive engineer. Dedicated to building software that end users love. You enjoy working in a fast-paced agile environment; a dev-ops evangelist. Committed & enthusiastic towards helping to improve the developer experience for everybody working on the ACQA platform and interacting with your code
* a teacher. You enjoy helping those around you develop their skills, while you develop your own; collaborative by nature. You enjoy working in a highly skilled team where the best ideas win.
