Our industry-leading financial services client is seeking a Software Engineer with Quant/Python/Financial Services Front Office Knowledge.
The software engineer will have strong understanding of programming fundamentals, deep asset management development background, and desire to lead/coach a team of developers. Prior experience developing front office investment management tools in quantitative, systematic, long/short, derivatives, and/or hedge fund domains is required for this role. You will play a team member role in architecting and developing a new Systematic Investment platform that will be used for alpha generation, portfolio construction and trading. You will collaborate with other technology team members in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to build scalable, reliable, and highly available technology solutions.

The Expertise & Skills You Bring:
- 10+ years' hands on experience in software development using Python/Java in Financial Markets (Front-office) with good experience working on alternatives and derivatives.
- Work closely with Senior team members and quant to help integrate new models and research into an enterprise grade platform.
- Work with a DevOps organization to create a framework for delivering and monitoring model in a production setting.
- Provide operational support tools for monitoring model performance, versioning, and calibration.
- Implement user-friendly interfaces for real-time monitoring: P&L, order tracking, and portfolio performance.
- Highly skilled with Python (Design, Develop, Test, Debug, Deploy)
- Experience working in Java is a plus.
- Experience with UI development using Angular & RESTful APIs is a plus.
- Understanding of investment management process, security analytics, investment workflow, or fund accounting.
- Working experience with derivatives including futures, forwards, and/or swaps is a plus.
- Jenkins, CI/CD, Autosys, Airflow
- Good understanding of test automation frameworks (unit & integration)
- A master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or Advanced Mathematics; or a bachelor's degree in a related field and a CFA or FRM
Must Have:
- Quant knowledge + Engineer. This candidate MUST have quant experience with either SecDB, Quartz, or Athena.
- Will support Quants on a daily basis. Not building quant models but will being building systems that help quant teams troubleshoot, backtrace, etc.
- Python based platforms.
- Strong backend development. Building batch jobs in Python.
